Does your college have a first responders team that provide first aid services during school hours and school events ? It is a common organization to have in a college ?

I was a firefighter/paramedic at a fire station that covered a major university. The school also had something like you were talking about.

They were extremely irritating. We would arrive on scene to find 5 or 6 un-educated nitwits running around hollering out ridiculous non-sense.

Quite a few times we basically asked them to leave, once as I can recall we called campus police and had one ****** removed from the building. I think they did away with this after one too many complaints from the FD.

My school has its own EMS squad that has been in existence for almost 15 years and has grown to the point where I believe it is now functioning on the EMT-I level (providing ALS). When I was on the squad, we got our own vehicle from the school's police department. It was extremely well-run, and we worked closely with the county EMS squad as well.
