First steps for Army HPSP?

Hello everyone,

I've already applied and interviewed at my dental school of choice and will hopefully be hearing back in a couple months.

That said, I want to get the ball rolling on HPSP. I've tried to have my recruiters put me in touch with someone who can handle this but haven't made any progress through this route.

Can someone please walk me through the first few steps of applying into HPSP and maybe dig up a contact for me?

You can look for a recruiter either where you live, or where you think you will be going to school - doesn't matter. Nice thing about having a recruiter where you go to school - is he/she can continue to help you once you are in and you have a relationship - the other recruiter (where you live) won't interact with you much once you leave. You will begin to work with the recruiter near the school for things you need.

You can also look in the phone book under US Army recruiting and ask for a number for the health care recruiter.

If none of that works let me know and I'll hook you up directly🙂

I am in the same situation as you in that I recently interviewed and now waiting for decision on 12/1. I was wondering if we can start working on HPSP application right now or we have to wait for acceptance letter. Also how did you get in contact with recruit? I searched for AMEDD on army website but it doesn't seem to exist in the state I live in.

You should try to get all the application done now prior to the 12/1 school acceptance date. If you can't find a recruiter, send me your contact email and I will try to get it to someone that can help you. I need it ASAP - I deploy this week.
