Took Topscore for the first time...don't know what to make of it.

My test is in a little less than 4 weeks. My scores today were:

AA 19
Bio 19
Chem 19
Ochem 16
PAT 20
RC 20
QR 20
TS 18

What do you think? Obviously I am going to bust it on O-Chem, I haven't had O-Chem 2 so my most serious test prep is going to be for OC 2 subjects.

Am I in a reasonable position to take the test in about 4 weeks?

And are there explanations of questions I got wrong and I just can't find them?

Go through destroyer. You really don't need Ochem 2 (well at least for me Ochem 2 was is way more detail and my prof was all about mechanisms). Definitely do destroyer and it should help you along. Chad's vids are supposed to be good but if you want a free source, you can use Berkeley's webcast for "Chemistry 3B" Its by prof Volhardt who is an arrogant ass, but he puts up his power points on his website and his lectures will get you very accquainted with OChem concepts. Google KPC Volhardt or Webcast, if you're having trouble finding the links let me know and I'll find them.

As for your score, I didn't fare much better (though Ochem was better for me). Top Score is actually harder than the real one, see how you fare on the others.

EDIT: Should have read the 4 weeks thing. I feel you can definitely do it! If you think you can tame O-Chem, you're in fine shape. Honestly though, you know better than anyone if you are ready.

When do I start worrying about my Bio and OC not improving?

Don't know what your goal is but

it looks like you will top 21+ on the real thing

I hope you are right, I just don't want to re-take because I blow it on one section like OC or Bio...don't know how much I can learn in the next 10 days but I hope a lot!

I think your TS should total 21+ as well.

It will be easier than any of your practice questions/sets you had. For your interest, there is a lot of luck involved and I did get lucky. I scored 4-5 points higher in TS than Topscore. Hopefully, you will as well. Good luck buddy.

My fingers are crossed for an easy bio section:xf:

Ha yeah, I am mostly surviving on Subway and rockstar...my new years resolutions don't start until after my test🙂

Just took my topscore test 2:

bio 21, g.chem 18, ochem 19, rct 18, qrt 20, pat 22

I am hoping the real thing is a lot easier than these topscore exams or Dday will arrive shortly -_-

What is your bio background like?

I only have gen bio 1 & 2 and these topscore exams are killing me in bio. Curious what someone who is getting 21 in TS bio has for prep.

I was getting the same scores as you in Bio and Chem..i ended up with a 27 in Bio and 26's in GC and OC. Maybe I'm an anomaly, but I thought the real test was much simpler. I'm not saying the real thing is easy, but it's definitely easier than most practice tests.

Here's what my practice test scores were before I took the DAT; however, these are the Kaplan practice tests, not Top Achiever....just fyi but it may let you relax. I received a couple of admissions offers this cycle. So, your grades look good...the real DAT was easier than the practice tests that I took.

Diagnostic, Midterm, Final, Test #1, Test #2, Test #3 (test 3 I took 2 days before the DAT)

AA - 16, 17, 18, 19, 18, 18
PAT -19, 19, 20, 19, 21, 19
Bio - 15, 17, 18, 18, 18, 20
GC - 13, 17, 15, 17, 17, 17
OC - 14, 17, 19, 21, 16, 16
TS - 14, 17, 17, 19, 17, 18
RC - 20, 19, 18, 21, 20, 19
QR - 16, 16, 18, 20, 18, 17

I've only taken cell bio after gen bio 1 and 2.

I initially went through the destroyer to expose myself to the topics, then through cliffnotes, then schaums. Made some charts of "big picture topics" like the menstrual cycle, hormones, phylums... I really just did a whole lot of memorizing in the past couple of days. I took topscore 1 on monday and scored a 16 on bio. After memorizing my notes the past day or so I feel a lot more confident with the material.
