A few threads regarding prelim results and personal concerns about institution being included in the trial.

Any thoughts on the published results?

Sharing your personal experiences regarding work hours/patient outcomes/resident satisfaction would be welcomed too.
Talked about ad nauseum on this forum.

The study is a flawed design, designed to show what we wanted it to and the conclusions were forgone, and the converse argument for keeping the restrictions could also easily be made based on the results. I personally think the restrictions are misguided, but I also think we unnecessarily abuse ourselves and major changes in training paradigms need to be made, from med school (which doesn't really prepare anyone to be a doctor) thru residency and fellowship, especially surgical training which should be much more simulation/skills training, less mundane paper work that should be purview of social work, case management, or physician extenders.
