i would advise going through the 2009 scores thread.. a few pages down the line you should have a grasp on the sort of resources generally used and the sort of timetable to follow.

PS: on second thought, you mentioned you're an international medical student? as in with the 5 year curriculum?
yup, its a monster thread with very high yield info! international students tend to atleast give the entire course 3 long reads because they arent taught in the same manner as the US students. the first being longer than the second and the second being longer than the third.
with around 2 years left for you to go, i think you'd do well to not start any dedicated Step prep - just start reading and understanding rapid review pathology. should help you in your classes and even later down the line when you go into speed-mode.
