does anyone have any idea of how the schedule is like for a first yr pharm student? like is it all 5 days, 8-4 or what? just curious

You can probably find out from any school you're interested in but pretty average would probably be 5-6 hrs class time 5 days/wk plus studying you would do.

1st year of pharmacy school is nothing compared to some of my undergrad years. I only have 3 hrs of class on MWF and 1.5 hrs class TR with a lab each on T and R, both are scheduled for three hours, but rarely go over 1.5 hrs. Oh, and the classes seem really easy because they are basically making sure everyone is on the same page. I am sure it gets harder the second year, I am taking it pretty easy, haven't spent much time working on stuff outside of class (maybe I am taking it too easy, I am getting slightly worse grades in classes I already took in undergrad...) But anyway, its nice not having to worry about competition anymore.

Geesh, what school is this??

Mercer's first semester is split into 3 blocks. I'm in the 2nd block right now, which is known to be the toughest. I have class MWF until 12pm and TR until 3pm. There are never classes from 12-1pm to allow for student group meetings. The start times vary, but on average it's usually 9am. Also, I have my introductory practice experience from 1-5pm on Wednesdays. Tuesday thru Thursday is a bit rough. The block sheduling is great though because the first and third block are easier, so it is a good transition into pharmacy school and a great way to end the term so you can enjoy some of the holiday activities.
