I saw some pharmacology cards from lange and they seem useful for someone who will some day take the NAPLEX.
Ok, I haven't been accepted to the Pharm yet, but I was going to get them and read through casually, because I like learning about drugs.
Has anybody here use them? Do you have another suggestion for flashcards?

I haven't touched my drug cards. I am a 1st year, so learning drugs isn't "key" yet. I may use them next year, but probably not since I have Clinical Pharmacology and Micromedex at my fingertips (laptop).

Make your own. I'm a P1 at Mercer. We have to know the brand/generic/all FDA indications of the top 200 drugs this year (100 fall semester/100 spring semester). We look the info up on MICROMEDEX. I copy and paste this to labels in a Word document and then put them on index cards. P2s have to know doseage amounts and class of drug (I believe), so next year I will add that info to labels and stick them on the back of the index cards I made this year.

I have drug cards that I bought when I went through a tech program at the CC three years ago, but I haven't looked at them since then. They are nice, colored pics of the drugs and all kinds of great info on them. If you have the extra money to blow, buy the cards. Tuition is $22000+ a year for me, so I MAKE mine!!! Plus, only the info I HAVE to know for now will be on the cards I am studying by.

Although the majority of the top 200 drugs will remain the same, some will be added, some will drop off the list. The FDA indications can AND WILL change. So just remember, the cards you buy today will not be current when you get into pharmacy school.

Thank you guys!
I am checking out Micromedex.

Odds are good that if you make the cards yourself, you'll remember the contents of the cards that much better. 🙂

I completely agree! For me, the actual work of making the cards helps stick the info into my brain.
