How did your Gannon OTD interview go? Did you hear back yet?Hey! So I’m from VA but I really want to move to Florida so I will be applying to most of the Florida schools after I take the GRE. Here are my stats:
GPA:3.9 overall
Prerequisite GPA:4.0 for all schools
GRE: Taking November
Observational Hours: 400 at 8 different settings (2 outpatient peds, school, outpatient rehab, snf, acute care hospital, hand therapy, hippotherapy, and early intervention)
Volunteer experience: 500+ hours (homeless shelter, domestic abuse shelter, teaching ESL classes, tutoring kids, advocacy work for my church, day camp for kids with disabilities, sensory coordinator for a day program for adults with disabilities, bible school teacher etc)
Work Related: Aba therapist, qualified mental health specialist, Rehab aide,peer support for college students with disabilities, caregiver for kiddo with autism)
Other: CPR certification, medication administration certified, personal care aide certified, qualified mental health professional license, working on RBT license, I speak Spanish fluently. I also was an RA for two labs and was involved in many clubs but not any leader positions.
Applying to: Gannon OTD, Nova ( MOT and OTD), Adventist, UF, FGCU, St. Augustine( MOT) and Barry. I also applied to some other schools in NY and near VA.

What do you guys think? I am worried about two things: the GRE, not the best test taker and that I withdrew Anatomy and Physiology 2 because of timing. I retook it and got an A but still worried if it looks bad. Let me know what you guys think and If I have a good chance at a Florida school.
I really enjoyed the interview! It was very laid back and the faculty were so nice. I got accepted within a week from the interview.

Hey! When did FGCU contact you? I thought they’d start reaching out to applicants in January.
They called me 2ish weeks ago! I submitted my application in early October if that makes a difference, I’m not sure if they contact people based off of when they submitted their application. It came from a 239 number so be on the lookout for that!

Questions were mostly pretty standard, it’s 3 diff interviews 1 on 1
Since you had your interview at FGCU, do you have an idea of when you will hear something back? I have interview this Friday?
I actually forgot to ask I think in past years some people heard back in a week or two, but some other people it took maybe another month after their interview. I’m sure you’d be able to ask at the end of some of your interviews and get a better answer! Best of luck 🙂

Good luck! When did they reach out to offer you an interview?
I interviewed on the 10th! They said anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months which doesn’t help much
I heard they have sent some acceptances out already!
I am guessing they send out official rejections also? So you know for sure either way?
I feel like they probably do, but we still have a while until we need to start worrying about that since they just finished interviews a couple of days ago 🙂

yea UF doesn't do interviews and they're trying to send out decisions by the last week of February, first week of March at the latest
Hi I applied in mid December and received an interview invitation the week of January 20! I turned in my interview essay video the week of January 27 but still haven’t heard back from them. Have you heard anything yet?
Hi! Did they email you letting you know they received your video? I submitted my video on Saturday and received an email Monday morning saying that I’d hear back in two weeks.
Yes they emailed me like 3 days afterwards to tell me that they received my video and that I will hear back in two weeks but it’s been about 4 weeks now. When did you get your video interview invitation?
February 7th! That’s crazy, I hope they get back to you soon. Are you going to reach out to them if you don’t hear back soon?
Hi! I applied back in Oct 2019, received an email for being selected for a video interview a few days after, submitted the video within a week, and was given a phone call acceptance the week after in Nov 2019.

Thank you so much! I’ve currently been accepted to 3/4 OTD programs that I’ve applied to. Currently still waiting on a response from UF, which happens to be my alma mater so it’d be great to go back. However, my down payments have been in for Nova and I would be starting in May! I’m excited to get this journey started regardless.
Are you on the waitlist for UF or you haven’t heard anything at all?
Did you receive an email saying you had been accepted and then received an email saying you had been denied?
