Would someone mind explaining how to interpret a flow cytometry chart? I've tried googling it but it all links to journal reviews and I just want something basic🙁

From RR Immuno/Micro, pg 44.

Laser for pew pew pew on cells to determine various factors:
- size
- granularity
- fluorescent properties of cell

1) Light scatter
- front scatter = size of cell
- side scatter = granulations in cell

2) Fluorescent dyes + DNA
- used to eval. cell cycle
- Phases:
- G0/1 = 2n size of fluorescence
- G2/M = 2x G0/1 fluorescence
- S = intermediate fluorescence

3) ImmunoFluorescence
- used to indicate phenotype of cell
- analyze various Abs w/ different colors
- cells identified/quantified via markers on cell
- ie. CD3/CD4, etc...
- presented as:
- histogram
- 2-dime dot plot
