No, not a thread about new grad stuff.
So, now that I'm a couple years into my first gig I've had the time/money/opportunity to do more fun things like take flying lessons. Today I went out and did my second solo flight, quite honestly I think it was more nerve racking than the first.
Soloing the first time was a awesome, but I took off with my instructor, went somewhere, did a few touch and goes, then he tells me stop and let him out, because its time. A few more touch and goes, solo, then pick him up and fly home.
Today, I put my newly minted solo endorsement to work. I went to the airport, by myself, checked the plane out, fired it up, made all the radio calls, taxied out and left, by myself. I flew to one our practice fields, did some touch and goes, then came back. No one peeking over my shoulder to double check me.
Things went well, but I think I was more nervous about this time than the second time. It was fun. I'm looking forward to heading out again, and of course getting further along in my flight training.
