Peds has Nelson's, IM has Harrison's. Is there a do-all, be-all text reference for FM? I'm looking for a definitive reference (short of just buying both Nelson's and Harrison's) on topics specific to FM. Any ideas?

My program made us get Rakel's Textbook of Family Medicine. It's a huge textbook, but not a bad one, all in all.

considering the specialty its hard to find such a text but try aafp articles they are better than any ONE book

I echo scharnhorst... I haven't used a Family Medicine text during my residency but find the AAFP online articles more practical and up to date than a textbook.

And it's FREE!!!
