Umm, they still have a certification exam at the end of residency to become board certified.

Or at least they did 90 seconds ago when I checked the ABP website.

My bad. I didn't look closely at the OP's status as a resident. I read "FM Boards" and thought the 10-yr Certification Exam was what he/she was referring to. Obviously, yes, there is an exam during residency.
