Like many others on here, I'm taking the exam towards the end of June this year. I've been using Kaplan QBank and stinking it up (~50% on 48 question blocks). I've basically forgotten all my micro/immuno, and plenty of other basic things, which is annoying since I know I did well in the courses at the time.

At this point, I've gone through a little bit of FA, and been reading through some of Goljan Path and such. What do you think would be better right now, starting to read through books like CMMRS and Lange Immuno/etc to get the basics down? Or going through FA thoroughly? I guess ideally I would do both simultaneously, but I don't know how much time I have.

Anyone care to help with a plan of attack?

Since you have this much time, I'd definitely suggestion using CMMRS and Lange Immuno IN CONJUNCTION with FA but then again, you should be able to learn a lot of immuno from FA alone. Have you tried to read the FA chapter in completion and seeing if it helps?

I haven't, so maybe I'll do that first to gauge its thoroughness. I should note that while I mentioned micro/immuno specifically, I feel like I'm pretty weak across the board on most things I had "mastered" at the time.

The books are only extremely useful when you are in full blown study mode. For now, browse through first aid and focus heavily on your classes.

Agree with McGillgrad.

Since you have done well in those courses, reading through FA should jog your memory. You will be surprised how much you remember when you have FA prompt your memory.
