Incidentally, food poisoning doesn't look like this at all. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

On the other hand, I've had something very similar to this after eating something suspicious at an "authentic" mexican restaurant.

Got me. As I said, I just figured it was food poisoning. But I'm no doctor and would have no clue what that really looks like. The doc said that I probably just ate something that did not agree with me. Sounds about right to me.

Sounds right to me.

Food poisoning in the strict sense usually sets in 1-2 hours after eating, involves vomiting and diarrhea, and is over within 12-24 hours.
