Hey guys maybe this forum can help me out, i'm not gettin' any love from the Allopathic forum. Since i'm not computer savvy and don't know how i can move my thread, if you check out the Allopathic forum I have a post "Question for Pritzker students".

Basically tell me what clinical rotations would be like at Pritzker. Would working with indigent populations be only through free clinic projects (like at UCSD)?

thanks...

The patient population that you will be exposed to at Pritzker consists of a majority of African-Americans. Within that population, you will definitely see indigent people during your rotations. You can get a very rough idea of how indigent the patient population is by comparing the amount of charitable medical care they provide (app. $43 million/yr) with the total number of patients they see (?). Again, this is a very, very rough estimate.

Are you applying this year? I am. I'm awaiting their decision which should come within the next two weeks.

Good luck to you!

well looks like there's no love on this forum either, even from all those posting on that IL thread. except for you, uofchopeful. i just got placed on the alternate list for pritzker so i'm looking to write a letter of intent, but i'm not too hopeful. it's too bad because it's a great school and has great students. that's life. anyway good luck to you.

Hey, uofchopeful--let me know how it turns out for you at U of C.

I'll let you all know. If I get in, I won't shout it from the SDN rooftops though.
