Hello canadians,

I have noticed from speaking with my friends at school that a lot of us are not hearing from AMCAS schools about interviews (and we have phenominal stats, ECs etc..) It is weird, we all received our interviews at non-AMCAS schools (i.e. NYU and Columbia) long ago, but we don't know why we r not hearing anything from AMCAS schools. Has AMCAS screwed us over and put a foreign hold status on our applications again like they did for our stanford apps? We r getting concerned as we ONLY applied to schools that treat canadians no differently than americans in the application process.

Any other canadians in this same boat? also, if u have been receiving AMCAS school interviews, please post them. thanx.

I have yet to hear anything about interviews from my schools. I have spoken to someone at each of the schools that I applied to, and they tell me that my application is complete and in review, so I would assume that is no problem with AMCAS.

As to why none of us have heard anythign... I dunno. It's getting frustrating.

My stats: 38-40Q MCAT, 3.87 GPA (3.95 BCPM), and a pile of ECs.

I know stats aren't everything, but I would think that they would get me at least ONE interview at a top 10 school.

Maybe we need to be more patient.

I've had a total of seven interviews (one non-amcas, columbia). The only top ten school I've interviewed with is Duke. My stats are good, but not stellar... in fact, they're below avg at all the top ten schools by a bit.

I interveiwed at Wash U on the 11th and got accepted last Friday.
I have an interveiw coming up at Jefferson.
Other than that, nothing else.

strangely, i haven't received the one i wanted (Columbia... darn it)
