my first year in college was fall of 95 and the next semster was spring of 96.........on amcas, it shows 95 first semester and then 95 second semester.....will they know that my second semester was in fact spring of 96.
Also, i took summer school in 96 btw my first and second year.should i put down that it was in 96 or change it to 95 to keep it matching with what AMCAS has.i am totally confused

the software is designed to convert the calendar year of a certain academic term to whatever academic year it was a part of. so, for example, say i was trying to enter my coursework from the spring semester of 1999. that semester took place in CALENDAR year 1999, but was actually a part of the ACADEMIC year that began in 1998 (the 98-99 school year), so the application is supposed to convert that year of that semester to read 1998--so that every semester is listed according to academic year and not calendar year. i assume that the software was programmed this way so that it would be easier for everyone to match up the academic terms within a certain academic year. all it's really done is confuse the hell out of everybody! 🙂

so as long as you enter the correct calendar year, let the software do whatever conversions it wants to. just make sure that YOU enter your stuff in correctly.

good luck!
