For ECs on the app, is it put in as hr/wk or total hrs within a time frame?

Though several years ago, the application required average hours per week, now the AMCAS application requires you to enter the total hours for each activity. If the hours per week vary significantly for some reason, sometimes it helps to include that in the narrative space, eg, if work varied from full-time in the summer to part-time in the school term.
