This question particularly pertains to those WITHOUT permanent residency.

I am planning on getting a Bank of America Maximizer loan. You need a permanent resident to cosign though. If you hear anything, please post.

Hi Highclass,

k' I found out that one can take out a maximum of $125,000 student loan credit line from the bank of Montreal (probably with a strong co-signer) and Royal Bank has loans for students as well. In addition, if you are from Ontario, you are eligable for OSAP, although for a US school I estimate the maximum you can get is $7,000... and ofcourse this is all in Canadian dollars.

Anyhow, a friend of mine is going to hook me up with some more info and I'll definetly post ASAP as soon as I find out.

Thanks Ocean,

Please post if you have any info, I will do the same. I am thinking about visiting the Georgetown Med financial aid office since I wirk on campus and have a talk about my options. If anyone else has any experience. Please post!
