Hi all,

congrats to all your acceptances! I am applying in June, wondering when will secondaries start coming if I submit my application on the first few days in June. I am planning a trip abroad either in early june or mid-july for about 2-3 weeks. I just wanted to know how soon schools start sending out those secondaries so I can plan accordingly.

Thanks!🙂

I submitted my application via online during the first week of June. I guess it all depends on when the aadsas service begins to process and send them out to schools. From what i heard they were behind this year from last year. I was in the first batch sent out and it wasn't until around the first of august before the schools received my application. I received supplementary applications through august and interview invites in september, although a couple of people on this board had interviews in august. Also a suggestion, have your letters of recomm. sent directly to the schools and not through the aadsas. I know several people whose applications were delayed for review because aadsas screwed up with the LOR's. Most schools will not give interviews unitl your file is complete so its better to send them yourself to be safe. I did and it worked out for me getting early interviews. Good luck with the application process and by this time next year you could have an acceptance.

hi Mary,

The first batch is always the slowest one. For example, this year I applied the second day and it took them 2 whole months to get it to the schools. It took schools about 1-3 weeks to send out secondaries, etc thereafter. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Also, there are a couple of schools (UPENN, UCLA and UNLV) that have their secondaries online. So you could print them out and do them abroad or before flying out. I believe the only schools you should worry about secondaries are:

PENN, UCLA, UCSF, NOVA, Temple (after you get an interview), Marquette, U.Washington, UNLV, Creighton, (thats all I encountered during my voyage).

But print the secondaries that are available online and finish them and turn in those plus the app fees before you leave and you should be in awesome shape.
