do they generally compare your new application with that from the year before? I would think this would be quite time consuming for the admissions committee but I was wondering if any of you know whether or not they would compare personal statements, etc (basically to look for improvements and what not)?

ANSWER:
I would assume they do.
Some admissions websites state outright that they keep previous materials for review, but some do not/are ambiguous. If you can't find it on the website, try calling/emailing the admissions office. Which schools are you unsure about?

MY QUESTION:
For those schools that don't state this information/ do so ambiguously: Aside from contacting each school individually, is there a way to find out whether or not they retain these materials for comparison?

Specifically- does anyone know about Rush Medical College?? I've emailed (there's no phone number to call), but unfortunately I don't think I will get a response before the deadline for my secondary (tomorrow). Does anyone know?

Thanks!

I would assume every school has the previous application. Whether they ever look at it is going to be hard to determine.

You're best bet is to just try to improve in every area, including your PS and LORs. Whatever you did didn't work last time, so why try the same thing again?
