IMO, it is slightly slower this cycle than in the past
however, i believe that there will be a lot of interview invites given out in the next three weeks
my feeling is that schools are working through more applications than usual, and are also concentrating on getting the new school year started
post labor day, they can now start to fill their interview spots in the fall

please note that i am not saying that if you don't get any more invites in the next three weeks you are cooked...

Anecdotally, the pre-med forums think there are many more applications because of the slow verification timing, which was similar to 2020-2021, when they had a record high number of applications.
