i could not follow destroyer roadmap and for me, it was very confusing

i am memorizing all the rxns that Chad covered in his videos.

Will these be enough for the ochem reaction part for the DAT?

it'll cover a majority of what you need to know, but when i took my DAT there were a few reactions that were not covered by chad, but luckily i had my orgo notes to fill that void.

and if you can't understand the roadmap, i would HIGHLY recommend that you take more time to understand the mechanisms because that can make a difference if you want to break a 20. when it comes down to it, even if you don't know the reaction at hand, knowing basic mechanisms can help you get to the answer.

Hello! 🙂 I reallllllly recommend you know those roadmaps in destroyer (the ones in the solutions) and also know how to do OC destroyer problems. Also, Chad is an excellent source. Highly recommended. However, there are a couple reactions he doesn't cover.. but I can't name them right off the top of my head. I remember reading a thread on that.

For the roadmaps in destroyer, I like to cover the products (the answers) with a piece of paper and attempt to do the reaction correctly in my head... and then uncover the answer to see if I was correct. Good luck!!

You should be able to do the road maps in Destroyer fairly easily before thinking you are ready to take the DAT. If you get very many wrong, you need to study more.

Agree with everyone on hear. Use Chad's as your foundation, then Destroyer to fine tune. The roadmaps seriously help!
