Why Temple? What personally attracted you to the school? What are you think about the DMD/MBA program that they have?....Thanks for the input

It is the best clinical school in the nation, hands down. You can't beat having 180,000 clients. You won't get that kind of practice and experience anywhere else!

Well first of all it is super chill, have fun with Brian he will be your tour guide. Come with questions BE THE LEADER and ask q's first don't be shy, and don't be afraid to let them know you are interested. I straight up told them in the interview that Temple was my first choice and I wanted to be there.

After the interview Brian will have you write an email to him that will be given to the dean of admissions. Here is where you tell them anything you didn't get to tell them in the interview, this is where you tell them why you want to get in and why you would be a good fit. Just be relax and have fun (I know its hard, but I had a blast at my interview we cracked tons of jokes with brian and it was fun). Ask them anything they will give you honest answers. I asked them what my chances were to get in and they straight up told me what they really were. They won't hide anything from you so ask away but of course don't hog coversations and don't be annoying. Have fun and good luck Temple impressed me a ton and became my first choice after the interview. They have a light hearted feel to the school but a blue collar approach they get down to work. If there is anything else drop me a line.
Good luck

I attended UVSC for a year before transfering to the U so you could say there are actually four of us coming from UVSC. But I would rather claim coming from the U rather than than UVSC.

Why, whats wrong with UVSC? 😉 😎 😀

Ohh nothing thats why I went there. I just couldn't stay in provo/orem that long, so I had to no choice but to go to the U. And I honestly didn't think you could get into Dental school coming from UVSC, I thought you had to come from a "Prestigious University" that was well known and battle tested.

Yeah, I see your point...however UVSC is getting a better reputation every year as having a strong sciene program. Obviously there are classes that are a breeze, ie. College Physics I and II, but I would have taken Ochem at any other school! Anatomy is also one of the best in the region...I can argue the country, but it may bug some people cause it's a 'highschool'. As far as Provo/Orem, yeah, I moved to American Fork (gov't subsidized!) I can't wait to leave provoOrem though.
You would also be suprised that UVSC has close to an 80% acceptance rate into Dental school. We have around ~20-50 applicants a year (depends on the year).

My overall opinion on UVSC leaves little to be desired though. The students choose where the money goes (one of the only schools in the nation to let students do so, and a horible idea, all they want to do is spend $$ on a football team). Most of the lower division classes are also a joke. Oh well, it's inexpensive and we're in so no biggy!

I also attended UVSC and got my associate's degree from them and then transferred to the U. I am actually sitting in the computer lab right now bored to tears.

I guess I should introduce myself. I am going to Temple next year too. I think I was in the group the Corolla interviewed in. I was John. The one that had to ask the first question. I think I sat by you. Don't you have like twelve kids???? Anyhow, I guess we will all be classmates and I ought to get to know y'all.

Lastly, where are you guys going to live? I called the institute at Temple and they gave me the number of a housing coordinator for them and they told me that they get boatloads of us Mo's every year.
