For those still waiting on their first Interview Invite

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I indeed find this thread very useful.

You're done. Enjoy your vacation, brah.

I have to say I'm pretty proud of having managed to derail this thread so quickly.

Haha... the gif exchange is pretty solid so far.

I didn't interview at the school I'm attending until March (and I almost didn't submit the secondary). Chill brahs.

Long journey ahead. I ended up with 6II and didn't get my first II until mid-September. It's early in the game.

what were your stats and when did you submit primaries and secondaries?

Schools are handing out II to people who were complete after me 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁..........

Everyday my confidence in this cycle is like a friggin roller-coaster. =\

For what it's worth, some schools do not review applications in the order they are completed. Some are generous enough to indicate this to you when they e-mail you to notify you've been complete, or say so on their admissions websites.

Also, look through the threads from last year for your particular schools of interest and see when other people were complete/received interviews, especially when they have stats similar to yours. For example, I saw for one or two schools that I'm applying to, they offered people with better stats than me who were complete after me interviews right off the bat. A bunch of people with stats similar to mine who were complete the same time as me (early! sometime in July!) got interviews in September/October. So while I too am waiting on interview invites from a bunch of schools, I'm only going to start to worry when people who have stats/completion dates similar to mine get invites and I don't.

And the bottom line is...we can look for patterns all we want but this whole damn thing is a crapshoot. All we can do is pick up a new hobby while we wait and hope for the best.

Good luck to you and everyone else applying!

I hate to add another useless thread...

BUT

Ahhhhhh...I just want one to confirm that nothing went horribly wrong with my application (i.e., LOR).

Got an II from Indiana which I'm very grateful for as you say, this still doesn't confirm Nothing's wrong with my app since this school does IIs pre secondary. In fact it makes me worried that my stats are good but suddenly my writing turns them off. So ya, not a useless thread. I'm glad I'm not the only one in this boat. Lets come back here in September/October

Thank You. I have definitely noticed this trend. I dont have the greatest stats (3.5/31). I have been rejected by one school (tulane), put on hold by another (GW), and hold for another school "to compare me with other OOS students" (UK).

On the bright side, I have 1 MD II and 2 DO IIs.
