Hey guys, just wanted to make a thread for those that are preparing for the DAT right now, somewhere we can just talk about the studying process, questions or even for some motivation and enlightenment.

Just want to say that when I first started studying, I was super discouraged because my first practice test score was awful and it seemed like I didn't know anything.

But as I was studying, I noticed that everything is basically stuff that we already studied and learned in class, so thinking of it as reviewing really helped.

Anyways, I actually made this post while taking a break from studying. 😀

I'm taking mine on 7/19 and counting down the days...

Can't wait to be done and down a cold, frosty mug of beer.👍

Good luck and happy studying!

My test is on 7/22.

Currently on Week 4 of the 8 week study schedule...

July 1st for me....

Good luck to you as well!

I haven't started using destroyer yet, going to do the whole book about 3 weeks before the test date.

I've been taking some math destroyer tests, and it's actually quite hard...

For biology, no matter how much I study the material I always see something I didn't know on practice tests.

I read all of AP Cliff's Biology and did did Barron's tests, Kaplan Blue book tests. I just wrote down everything I didn't know from those Biology sections and continuing to do that through destroyer.

Ok thanks! I've just decided to get it to clean-up my GC and OC scores. Any tips for bio?

I haven't taken the test yet....so I can't give out tips. I've taken practice tests, and all the other sections have improved after going through Destroyer. My biology has not improved much. I keep hovering around 19, 20, and 21 on all practice questions that I do. Whether it topscore, DATBootcamp, DATQvault...So I don't know what advice to give. Anyway, if you want suggestions, you should check out the many threads in the DAT subforum.

Mods should probably move this thread

How is it going for you right now?

I think it's going pretty well. I'm just one or two days behind on organic chem and biology.

I can't wait to get started on destroyer. I been studying chad's video and AP cliff for too long. I really need a change up.

What are you working on?

I've been studying with chad's and ap cliffs bio too.. Only thing is, I keep having to go back to specific sections to remember all the info.

So much stuff to know and understand... I completely understand it when I'm watching Chad's, and then when I see it on a problem I totally forget... good thing I have near 4 more weeks...

If I were you, I would start going through destroyer before then. There are a lot of questions in that book and it's possible there are going to be a decent amount of questions you're not really going to know how to do. I went through that book three times, first marking questions I had no idea how to do and questions that I struggled with then going over them two more times to make sure I knew how to take on all different types of questions. I also looked into the background and principles of questions I didn't know.

Basically I'm saying make sure you have enough time to thoroughly go through destroyer cause it's a really important tool.

Math destroyer also has a lot of similar questions to the DAT questions.
