Is your TMDSAS GPA lower than your AMCAS GPA? I am not quite sure if TMDSAS drops any pluses received for any classes. It really would be much easier if there was just one national application.

the tmdsas should raise the GPA or allow it to stay the same because the pluses and minuses are dropped. AMCAS actually wants the pluses and the minuses on the application. Unless you've gotten lot of B+'s or C+'s which will convert down to B's and C's, the TMDSAS gpa will be better than the AMCAS.

If you happened to have a large number of grades that have a plus (B+, C+, D+), then your TMDSAS GPA is going to be lower than your AMCAS GPA... It's not going to be by much (the degree of difference depends on how many of these "plus" grades you have and how many total courses you've taken), but it can still be substantial if you are on the borderline of some number (e.g. AMCAS GPA 3.41 but TMDSAS GPA 3.39).

On the flipside, the opposite is also true... if you have lots of grades that are a minus, then your TMDSAS GPA will be higher than AMCAS GPA.
