Hi guys,
I just wanted to share some information with all of you that I found out from calling UCSF. They told me that there is no point to retake as long as I have above 17 on all sections because even if you go up a couple points it only looks like you are more comfortable with the test itself not like you know more of the material. I thought this was interesting. What do you all think?

I spoke to a particular school and they said that they would like to see an extra point to my score. That's right. A point. Back to the books for me 🙄

WOW...that seems like a waste of time! What is one point really? May I ask what school this was for and what your first DAT score was? My scores were the following:
AA:18
PAT:19
TS:18
Ochem:19
Gchem:18
Bio:18
RC:19
QR:18

Temple. It's my top pick so I guess I gotta do what's needed.

AA: 18
TS: 18
BIO: 18
GC: 18
OC: 20
RC: 20
PAT: 17 (I'm more prepared this time, I'll admit it)
QR: 16 (I also think I'm more prepared here as well)

what score did they ask you to pull up by 1 point?...do they have a 17 cut off?...maybe that is why.
good luck on your retake..when is your test

Thanks! They didn't say, just that if I could bring it up a point, it would be good. I guess it would help with all schools as well. I also finished up a SMP in May so I'm counting on that helping me a little in Bio. I haven't signed up yet, but my goal is mid August. I can't commit to a date yet, haha. Although, all dates seem to be open in my area as of now...
