Hi

I was wondering what will your schedule be for the spring 2005 semester while studying for the MCAT?

I will actually just be taking 2 classes, instead of the normal 3 -- and one of them will be genetics. I'm taking the Kaplan as my 3rd course. Start studying for MCAT during Christmas break -- does that sound reasonable or should I start earlier than that?

OChem lab
Biochem
Policy Analysis (UD Poli Sci)
Politics of Supreme Court (UD Poli Sci)

Not a bad schedule, considering I'm taking a three month leave of abscence from my job ;)
Oh yeah - And I'm studying on my own, no rip-off (err, i mean prep) course for me.

I'm taking:

Later Victorian Literature
Italian Literature in Translation
Psychological Disorders of Children
College Physics 2
College Physics 2 Lab
Princeton Review MCAT course (I start next weekend!) :scared:

I take the kaplan diagnostic next saturday. I'm scared too.

Our test is at 6pm!!!
They're trying to make our diagnostic as low as possible, it seems.

Work full-time.
Mother of 10 year old boy.
Planning a wedding for June.
Doing some volunteering (need to think about next year's app too!).

That's all.

immunology + lab
biostatistics
greek mythology
research (neurobiology)

studying on my own with EK/Kaplan stuff...yea for me!

biochem 2
calc based physics with lab
computer science
the comic effect: the theory of comedy

plus EK classroom prep and work about 8 hours a week instead of my usual 12-15

That was my schedule when I prepped for last april. It worked out fine for me, just beware Kaplan's practice tests - they're not exactly the same style as the real MCAT.
Good luck! :luck: (that's for everyone)

I think my schedule will be:
Human Physiology
Organic 2 with lab
Biochem
Princeton Review

Is that too much?

great schedule ,

Thermodynamics is iffy , lots of chem 2 so get ready !

Civil engineering fluid mechanics or Mechanical engineering fluid mechanics your taking?
I took the one with Civil Eng. dept , and it was not bad. Preety interesting when your driving over bridges on stormy days ..and you can understand the load the water is carrying against the columns.

Heat & Mass transfer , ahh never got to take that course.

I see that we have another engineer on board :)

I'm debating, which sounds the best?
I will be working 10-15 hours a week.

Embryology and lab (4)
Orgo II and lab (4)
Physics and lab (4)
Research
Kaplan class

or just

Orgo
Phys
Research
Kaplan class

or

Embryology
Phys
Cal I
Research
Kaplan class

here's the thing with orgo II... I've already taken it all the way up to the very end and got a W, so I'm confidant I'll know it for the MCAT in April, I just need to fulfill that req'ment. So I was thinking about taking it over the summer, but I heard that one of the teachers during the year was a lot easier...
