Don't you end up with 45s on them and then become overconfident, only to be really let down on the real thing?

I guess it depends on your memory, I am retaking some of the same ones and my scores have not been inflated. I really have only remembered 2 questions exactly on 2 whole practice tests. So I do not think my scores are inflated at all, at least I hope not because I finally hit a 30.

For me, retaking the tests was more for drilling concepts into my head than trying to gauge my score.
