Don't worry! The real RC is SO EASY!! (This is compared to other prep materials or even the real DAT practice exam). English is my second language, and RC was one section I expected to score around 20 at best, but I ended up scoring 30 on it. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I did not even have to read the whole passage to answer the questions. Normally on practice exams, I'd run out of time and barely get to the third passage. On the real test, I had so much time left over that I even double checked most of my answers. What a surprise!

It's important for any future DAT takers to know that every test can be very different, and there should be rigorous prep put in to every section to get a good score.
Did I get lucky then? 🙂 There might be some truths to this, because I expected a much different score for BIO. I used to score very well on practice tests, so it was the least of my worries. The way they asked certain concepts were odd and confusing, and they picked topics that are not so clinically relevant IMO :/

My RC on the DAT was easier than Bootcamp’s but that isn’t always the case. It might have only been easier because the passages were about topics I found interesting.

Keep practicing. Start reading a book for fun and read a few science articles a day on scientific American.

I wouldn't say that as a fact because every DAT is different but my experience was similar. Like I couldn't believe how easy my passages were to get through (the passages were very organized which made it easy to map out where I could find answers in my head) and how straight forward the questions were. I even ended up finishing with like 15 minutes to spare even though on Bootcamp I was rarely able to finish on time. I went in expecting the section to be my worst but honestly finished it thinking I might have gotten 30, I ended up with 24 though.
