Mine is still "Application Fee Not Received" since 8/6.

Anyone has an update from Tufts?

Mine did have that up until 8/6, then it just went to "No Action/Response required.

Thank you for your email, we have received your application fee and it has been successfully processed. At times the AADSAS website does not accurately reflect missing documents, please consider this email confirmation for your application fee.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

So, AADSAS doesn't always update is the core message here. If you sent it in, don't worry about it until 3-4 weeks later 🙂

Yeah, I submitted that cheque like middle of July. I know Tufts requests that you don't contact them, but when I hadn't heard anything about my cheque getting there like 3 weeks later, I got worried, assumed the worst, panicked, and took the initiative.

As of 8/6/10, my application status has been showing "Received/Under Review." I submitted by AADSAS application on 7/1/10, and it was mailed on 7/16/10.

You don't need to wait for them to contact you before you pay the fee. Go ahead and send them the check. In the app received email from them, they don't even mention anything about the fee.

Im confused. so did you guys receive an email requesting the fee? my application was submitted on 7/30 and haven't heard ANYTHING from Tufts. Should i wait til they contact me about the fee or just send it? I appreciate your reply.

p.s. AADSAS says to send fee only when they contact you.

hey i just called them cause i freaked out
my mailing date was 7/23 and i never got an application received email or asking for the fee
they said they're still processing applications from the end of july so i'll get an email soon 🙂
so u dont have to go ahead and send them your money

Sorry guys, scratch this. I was looking at another email from Tufts that I received a while back, not the "app received" one. In this, it does tell you to send the app fee at this time.

I emailed to [email protected] this morning asking about my app status but no response yet. 🙁

Oh also, did you put Trustess of Tufts College on "payable to" or Tufts University School of Dental Medicine?

I put the latter and panicking now

Yep, that's the one. It should be on AADSAS as well under "dental school designations" and then click "supplementary information" on the right of Tufts.

I sent it to Trustees of Tufts College. Because that is what their email instructions were.

When did you mail your cheque? It took them about 3 days to respond to my email.

For NYU, my mailing date was 7/9 and I sent them the money order about 3 weeks ago.

I received "application complete" email on 8/10.

You can call and ask about your application status. Although the guy who answered my call was really weired... his voice was really low in tone and seemed like he was drunk 😀

Did you check your Spam or Junk folder? My mailing date was also 7/9, but I received the app received email and request for fee on 7/27. If you can't find an email, I'd call them tomm.

No... I checked again but nothing for me on 7/27 but strange that my AADSAS turn into "under review" on 7/27... I'll try to call them trmw.

Typically tufts reviews and makes decisions on applications later in the application cycle than most schools...this is due to the fact that they review first the international applications for the international (3rd and 4th year) residencies. DON'T panic! If you have mailed your check, just review your bank statements to see if it has been cashed... oh remember to mail the check right away after submitting your application (no need to wait for the letter because they wont review the application without it). If you feel the need to call, just call and be polite (the people in the admissions office are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and they are very accomodating). The first round of interviews are supposed to mailed out in late October, so don't freak out that you haven't heard anything yet. Remember that there application doesn't close on DEC 1st, its Feb 1st (another reason that they do things later than most schools...i think they wait to see who will be going to the state schools, but this is my opinion). I believe that it would only be waived if they had some kind of fee assistance which you applied to and got confirmation for. I was actually getting my shoes on to walk down the street and drop the cheque in a mailbox when I received an emailed interview invitation. Even then, they still require the fee.

Assume that they still need the fee unless they tell you otherwise. See if you can find information online about fee assistance and/or call/email them.
