Hello guys
I have MD from medical school(not dental school) in foreign country and now doing research in US.
I want to ask if it is possible for me to apply for DDS? Do I need to go back to dental school in US
which allow me to apply for DDS and will they give any credit to my MD?
Thanks for any comment.😉

No, it's not possible. If you want to do dds in us, you have to complete the pre-requisites for dental school, take dat and may be toefls also. Though the first two year subjects in medical and dental are same, but I don't think you get any credit. Foreign trained dentist are eligible to take nbde exams to get admission into 2 yr dds/dmd program. Please correct me if I am wrong. Good luck.

If I passed the pre-requisites, Is having MD an advntage to apply for DDS?

I don't think there is any advantage except it would be good part to mention in your resume and the interview may become easy for you. Though I have no idea, but wish you good luck. I wonder you want to study again for 4-5 years!!!
