Foreign Med Schools

I have a question regarding foreign medical schools. I am currently looking into med schools in the caribbean, where you do your first two years of study there, and then the second two years are in the USA. Is there anyone out there with useful info on any of these schools? Pros/Cons to the idea as a whole? Pros/Cons to specific schools? I am looking into this because in undergrad I attained a biomedical sciences degree, but never studied so I only ended up with a 2.8 GPA. However, I know I have the potential to do much better and I really don't want to give up the dream of med school. The reason I am looking into foreign med schools is because I think I would have a better shot of getting into them. Any insight/recommendations into my situation would be appreciated.

you should check the international forum. quite a lot of info in some old threads as well as some people who attend med school in the carib who can probably answer your questions.
