Question for those of you who might know such things: What sort of practice does a typical forensic psychiatrist have? Does it consist almost exclusively of consult work (comp hearings, litigation, etc.), or does one have to have a basic clinic practice as well in order to make ends meet. I gather than another alternative is working in a state hospital (or prison) providing clinical care. What's the scoop?
