Hi guys,
Never posted on this but loved this informative and helpful forum.
I'd like to ask some advice on my situation, here's my profile.
1. Former international, now green card holder, TX resident.
2. Transfer international student. two years in international university, then 2.5 years in a state univeristy - graduated in biochem 2012. cGPA: 3.17, sGPA: 3.15
3. MCAT: none (schedule to take on april, 2018)
4. research experience:
-2 years while in college, genomics lab
-1 year in molecular biology lab right after graduate
-3 years in biochem/molecular genetics lab (present: working as a research associate)
5. I will be able to get very good LORs from my PI, colleague phD who will start as a junior PI soon, and 1 or 2 MD/PhD researchers that works with me and I will shadow them on their clinic hour. Here's my question.
1. I know my GPA is very low. Would post-bacc program will be the only choice for me? or should I start another BS degree? (PS: all pre-reqs were taken in US college)
2. I have D in my English comp II class - can I retake on post-bacc program? How would retake grade is going to be calculated?
