Hey everyone,
Some of you may or may not know this, but a 4th year AZPod classmate of mine was recently involved in a serious cycling accident during a race in Austin, TX on April 10th. The accident has left him paralyzed from mid-chest down. With only 4 weeks remaining until graduation, I cannot imagine the type of adversity he's going through right now. Thankfully, he has the most positive attitude out of anybody I've ever met.
We all use SDN to ask questions, give our opinions , and occasionally get involved in some back-and-forth banter. All good stuff. What I'd like to use SDN for, however, is to help my classmate reach his goal of becoming a successful DPM. His family has started a crowdsource fundraising effort to help offset the cost of his rehabilitation which will be quite extensive and impact the rest of his life. Additionally, some of us at AZPod have organized a t-shirt fundraiser and a hike here in town to help raise additional money. Please check out the links below and blast the information to anybody you know anyway that you can: Facebook, twitter, whatever. Every little bit helps!
