Hey guys,

I'm going to be a senior in college this fall and I plan on applying to pharmacy school but I have a couple things holding me back. I withdrew from four classes (2 were accounting classes from my old major, one was calc 2, and the other was an upper level computers course). I dropped two my second semester of freshman year and the other two my first semester sophomore year. I have a 3.3 GPA overall, about 115 credits now, double majoring, while having nothing lower then a B- for the past 5 semesters excluding the withdrawals. I also received a C- in Calc 1 which is eating away at me.I haven't taken the PCAT and am avoiding it at all costs. I do not have any pharmacy work experience either. I'm trying to get into Rutgers but I read that they have a 6% acceptance rate. How do my chances look at getting into pharmacy school? Any ideas of how to improve my transcript/resume? Advice/opinion? I don't know what else to do 🙁

Retake Calc 1, take Calc 2, don't be lazy and take the PCAT. Get some pharmacy experience. Any questions?

Agreed since they will average Cal 1, Make an A in that, then try and make an A in Cal 2. Adcoms will probably not even notice the C- after that.

Yeah retake Calc 1 for sure. I wouldn't take Calc II though unless it's required.

some schools will not accept c- for any of the core classes. I would call or email to the perspective schools, some school policies may be different. Some schools don't look at W's and some do. Again, depends on the policy of the school. Rutgers is pretty hard to get into. Apply broadly!
