No matter which test I do, I get a 18 on the CDP and that is freaking me out becasue everyone is saying that most likely you will end up with the same score as on CDP.Please give me any advise on how to improve.I want to try to get a better score than 18 on the actual PAT.

I've never seen 'freaking' spelled that way

I would like to ask question back to you. How do you study for it? are you getting wrong in similar or same questions or same area(topic)? how do you do? It is really hard to give you any advise without knowing your style of solving problems. I may (or may not have similar) or same experience of the study skill which might can over come.

Well I've just been doing the CDP.I have problems mostly with angle ranking and then a lot of the hole punching, not that I am doing really well on the other parts but some tests I do better than others but I really have never gotten a 15/15

Going to quote this because they're pretty much exactly the questions people will need to know to give advice 😛

I improved my CDP score by carefully examining the ones I got wrong, and going through the explanations, and by practicing or revising over my old tests 1-2 hours a day for a week. You need to figure out for yourself exactly what you're doing wrong - we can't give you advice any deeper than "practice, practice, practice", until we know which sections you're having trouble with, and why you think they're problematic.

😀

The one with 10

Then don't worry about it! I got 18/18/18/18/19/21/20/22 on my first 8 tests when I did CDP, and I ended up with a 23 on my DAT. The first 4, or 5 tests are a bit harder than the rest and def. harder than the real DAT. So don't panic and keep practicing! It might seem impossible in the beginning but do as much practicing as you can till it clicks!

hey I'm actually having difficulties in the angle and hole punching too. My other sections im getting 13/14, but not doing to well in those. CDPs angles are incredibly close so I'm still working on that. As for the hole punching, try the tic-tac-toe method where you draw it out on your scrap. It's been working for me since I started using it.

haha yeah I suck at angles...big time! Interestingly I suck at cube-counting too lol I think it's just that I'm pretty careless. (kinda in real life too) lol But I ace the other sections every time! I believe it's just that you either get it or you don't! For instance a buddy of mine, who has already got into dental school, always aced the angle ranking section! I don't know how the hell he could tell the difference of 3 degrees, but he never missed more than 1!!! So it's just takes practicing and natural talent I think lol
