Hey all,
I found this website http://www.gopathdx.com that has a webinar of a Dr. Minarcik doing pathology lectures that are supposed to follow robins chapters. His class is currently ongoing right now but they also have videos on the website for previous years. Has anyone else come across this "global online pathology course" is it worth studying or is there a better way? I'm currently doing both this and goljan audio for path but am not sure how effective it is.

thanks.

iv heard of him and even tried a few of his lectures. i find them a little too disorganized and hard to follow especially if you arent taking the live class . I got the videos of his website tried it a couple of time but just couldnt continue with it. He needs to clean it up a little bit, and im not too sure about this webinar recording. It gets choppy and whatever issues he has with bandwidth you have to put up with because thats whats recorded.

but I guess if you have the time maybe his live webinars are better? I def dont have time, I just recently got Pathoma and even though its a small book I still find it hard to take out time to do that. Between FA and UWorld, so I gave up trying to get past his video/audio lags.

gluck !

I've only found him useful for class as an alternative to reading Robbins since he follows it rather closely. Also, his slide/lab videos are better than looking at still images on your own. Using Pathoma for Board though.

Hey, I've never heard of pathoma before. Should I combine w/ Goljan? I heard a lot of people say they used pathoma and GT. What is GT?

how much you want to include in your study plan is up to you! Depends on how much time you have!

But after a certain point I think no matter how much time you have, having too many resources can be counter productive. A lot of people swear by Goljan and has been a gold standard for killing the "exam that must not be named"

however, me for example, tried reading Goljan numerous times just could never digest that book. Books like Pathoma or even BRS to a point works way better for me! Maybe its the super glossy pages of Goljan i dont know haha

Pathoma seems good too, kind of like Minarciks lectures, except "quality" seems better.

gluck!
