im not sure what you mean by "question" but we learned about a heterokaryon between HeLa (human) cells and xenopus (frog) cells in cellnmolec. so maybe try searching xenopus, heterokaryon assay, or hnRNP if your searching for a specific question. this may be a completely different experiment though im not pos. if you do find the question will you post it?

theres a specific question they asked on the "test" a while back...people spoke about it before on this forum but i cant find it

I think you're referring to another question which is why you can't find it. I had that "test" question on my exam last year, but why the curiosity now?

haha no i meant "test" as in the DAT because you are not allowed to talk about specific questions on the DAT so i decided to say test instead of DAT. nvm though its alright...

Take the mesoderm from a mammal; implant it into a chicken ectoderm; chicken grows teeth? I saw that one floating around before. I don't remember the exact question though.

I think you are talking about this:

Mesenchymal tooth cell from a dunkey were extracted and injected into a bird embryos, and the bird grew teeth. What is the situation described representing?
I think it would be artificial insemination. What you guys think?

this question still exists people. i just took dat 1 week ago and had this question on my test. i think it's best if a moderator closes this thread.....

I actually saw this on a discovery special a few weeks ago...haha. I hope I get this question (I think)!

If they became teet then their faith was already determined, meaning the cells were not totipotent or pluripotent right?😕

Well, there's been a question referring to an experiment which was done, where they proved that in order to develop notochord and the back bone, mesoderm and ectoderm had to be both present in the embryo of the frog! So I don't know if that's what you're referring to! But the whole point is that if you insert the back mesoderm into a new frog which already has a mesoderm and ectoderm, the frog would develop two notochords! Some weird crap like that!!! lol

Also if you take the dorsal lip of one frog embryo and implant it into another you'll get two frogs. 😱
