Just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to get from the logan airport to Tufts dental school. I am trying to get a early morning flight but need to know how much time to save. Thanks.

it's right by the airport..10-15mins with no traffic

If you take a cab, it shouldn't take more than 15 or so minutes, if that. Boston is a pretty small city in terms of area. The T takes longer, and you'll have to switch at least twice no matter which way you go (via blue line or red line). But the NMEC stop is just around the corner from Tufts. The T is cheaper, though - only $2 each way. The cab would probably cost you at least 15-20 bucks because of the toll.

You can try the trip planner on MBTA.com to see how long the T would take you, but it's not all that reliable. I don't think it takes into account rush hour traffic and such.

Thanks. Your information is really helpful. I didn't think I could really trust google maps.

Also... gutsy move if you're trying to fly in the day OF your interview. It's around the holiday season and flight delays are bound to happen along with any weather delays. Cross your fingers you make it here on time. Feel free to PM if you have any questions about traveling to Tufts. 🙂

hey guys, im in a similar situation. BUT im flying into providence airport not logan airport for a tufts interview. my interview ends at 230 and my flight from providence leaves at 450, do you guys think i will make it on time to the providence airport?

Man that's really cutting it. If I recall correctly it takes close to an hour to get from Boston to Providence. Now assume you get out of the interview on time and get on the road with maybe 10 minutes of delay time of traffic. You'll be there around 3:45, giving you just over an hour to get through check-in, security, and catch your flight.

I hope you leave before 2:30.

This is a great thread.

If time isn't a factor, would you guys just recommend the subway then? Sounds like a cab will be a lot of cash. The subway doesn't take much longer than a cab, right?

If you're here a day or two before the interview, take the subway. It's the difference between 30 (taxi) vs 2 bucks (subway).

I was in boston once and the trolly/subway was way cool. As a tourist there I found the subway to be easy to use and relatively quick and cheap.

The subway is also very entertaining. I hope you enjoy your trip!

Careful about the gas petal, the Northeast cops are the bigest A--holes you will find. They take pride and pleasure in pulling you over and then taking a break while you are waiting in your car. Just venting lol

The train is also 15 bucks each way if you aren't so rushed with time.
