I submitted my completed AMCAS on 7/23. I know the website says it can take up to six weeks to verify the application, but this is ridiculous. Anyone else frustrated because your AMCAS is in line to be verified? I feel I'm wasting valuable time, which would be better spent filling out secondaries. Unfortunately, no secondaries til a verified AMCAS is sent to each school.

Hi there,
Don't worry! I submitted mine on 7/21 and I was verified this morning. So mine actually took less than 4 weeks. Hopefully you will be verified on Friday or Monday!

Well, this is the peak time for submittals, so they have a lot of work to do.

Patience is a virtue. 😉

I am very frustrated but think I should be verified this week... hopefully!!! :scared: 😀

a couple of people who submitted on 7/22 were verified today it seems...
i also submitted 7/23 so we should get some results soon 🙂

Well the great thing about this website (and shemarty's work) is the fact that you can fill out your secondaries because all of the main essays are posted. Take your time and write some great essays so that as soon as you get official access you can copy and paste the main parts and just fill in whatever other simple questions are asked. I don't really see how it is "unbelievable" that it is taking them three weeks to get to your primary. The reason they say that it can take up to six weeks is...well...because it might take that long.

I submitted the weekend of 7/18 and mine got verified today. I'm sure yours is getting close!🙂

Glad to hear that a verification may come soon. I realize I'm not the only person waiting for my AMCAS to be verified, just wondering what others had to say about the situation as well.

i submitted the 7/18 weekend as well and my app is currently under review 😀!

anybody know how long apps are usually under review for?

I received a couple of my secondaries before my AMCAS was verified. I don't know if they send out a preliminary heads up or what, but maybe you will get some secondaries early.

Agree with above poster; definitely get started now on secondaries if at all possible...

Good luck:luck:. I know it's frustrating 🙁

you know at least half of my secondaries were already available online anyway so that anyone can fill them out. you should look at the different schools and see

I've received one secondary (from a school that doesn't screen applicants) and have completed it. I suppose I assumed schools that screened their applicants had to make their secondaries available after reviewing your application. It's time for me to see what I can do prior to AMCAS verification.

I've checked with the schools I'm applying to and all but one (the one I've already completed) send their supplemental applications via mail or e-mail after reviewing a verified AMCAS. Guess I'll just get my essays ready and have a quick turnaround on them. Thanks for all the input.

I submitted one day before you, 7/22, and I just got verified today. Hang in there, you are surely coming up soon.
