Frustrated with SDN

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Maybe SDN stands for "Still Down Now". Hmmmmm.......

Ugg, I'm trying to figure out what's causing the problem. It seems like as soon as I get one server working, the other starts to have problems.

Thanks for trying Lee. I think part of it is that this is just a very popular website and so many people are loggin on to see what will be said next. If not, I wouldn't be frustrated. <img border="0" alt="[Pity]" title="" src="graemlins/pity.gif" />

Lee,
Would you happen to be doing some system backup/maintenance at that time? At least the downtime was minimal and did not cause any major inconvenience. We really appreciate your effort to support this web site. It's really a very valuable asset to us. Thanks.

I've been using Netscape 4.61. Has anyone been having trouble connecting with Internet Explorer? Maybe there's a browser disparity.

not a computer genius here but i am an MIS major w/ some computer science work. would love to help in anyway possible. maybe we should be more proactive in askin for donations here??? i know as much help as i've gotten its worth every penny i give. (not to be a hypocrite but i havent donated "yet" )

It's a problem with our main IIS server. The forum and chat servers are working fine.

I'm still trying to find where the problem is -- but I think it's either a bad disk sector in the RAID array or a problem with our MSSQL Server. Hope to have it fixed soon.

In the mean time, the main server(www.studentdoctor.net) may be offline intermittently. So, be sure to bookmark the forum server: forums.studentdoctor.net

Well, I'm glad you've got some idea of what's going on because I just felt a nice breeze over the top of my head!!

Thanks,Lee..This is an invaluable site.Take the frustration as a big giant compliment 😀
So here's to SDN any ole way
