so i typed up my response to this question first. and it's about a page long typed. i probably could fit it in on the secondary handwriting if i wrote small. but it might not look great.

i guess what i'm asking is does FSU analyze your handwriting? is that why they ask for the response handwritten? are they going to judge based on it?

I think you'll be judged if you dont follow the instructions. Who only knows why they want it in your handwriting, but this is no time to stop kowtowing to adcoms!

They specify you to "write in your own hand writings", so you'd better follow the instruction.

I guess they are trying to make some sort of judgement according to your hand writing.

I think the OP realizes that she has to write it but she was only asking if they performed a CIA analysis on it. 😀

thank you jj08!! i KNOW that it has to be handwritten. but i think my type-written length is going to be too much to write out in the space provided. so i guess i have to cut it down a little (and i had a good response IMO).

you guys must've all tried typing it out before writing it out by hand. how long type-written was yours? the help is much appreciated.

Ahhh, I see. Sorry. Anyway, mine is about half a page single spaced. Three paragraphs, even though I could extoll my own virtues indefinitely. It fit, in small-ish handwriting, that became noticbly smooshed together towards the end.

thank you unfrozencaveman. mine is about 3/4 of a page single-spaced. i need to delete some of my strengths from the essay cuz i have 2 para. of strengths, 1 of weakness, and 1 short 2 liner conclusion. i wish i could include more strengths as well.
