Some DO schools indicate that they require the students must take full course load.

Does that mean that I will be rejected from all DO schools since there has been a few semesters where I took 3 courses?

No, I don't think so. I had a few light semesters too and I didn't have any problems. My GPA and MCAT were a little on the higher for DO schools, though.

Thank you! that's such a relief ! I basically graduated in 5 years rather than 4

out of all those 5 years, I took 3 courses per semester for a total of 4 semesters, the rest of the semesters I had 4-5 courses each semester

Yep, it took me 5 years too, and I actually took a whole semester off. I don't think it will matter too much unless your GPA is below average.

I doubt you'd be rejected for it. Just be prepared to answer questions about it that might come up during an interview. Beyond that, I doubt it will have any other effect.

That is great news! well I do have explanations for doing less course load.. but thats if Im given the chance to explain myself prior I get rejected

None of my interviewers asked me why I took 2-3 classes per semester. If anything you just wanted to ensure you had enough time to dedicate yourself to more demanding classes for successful grades. It's common sense and I don't think they will frown upon it but admire the dedication to succeed.

lol no, I'm pretty sure they're just trying to prevent people from taking one pre-req/science class a year.
