I have been doing some research and have stumbled upon the different requirements of course loads for dental schools. I have heard that 15 credits is about average. I have my schedule for next semester and don't know if I will be overwhelmed or not. If some one how has gone through a similar course load could give me some advice it would help out a lot.
Spring 2010
Human Physiology/ 4 credits with lab
Cell and Molecular Biology/ 3 credits
Introductory Physics II/ 4 credits with lab
Histology/ 4 credits with lab
Arts in Society: World Music/ 3 credits
Thinking of dropping music and focusing on my science GPA.

What do you mean by "requirements of course loads for dental schools"? If and when you get to dental school, you'll have a hell of a lot more than 15 credits a semester.

As far as that being your college coursework, that's a tough schedule. 3 labs is always rough, but I've done it. I took Physics II, Cell & Molecular Bio, and Anatomy & Physiology II, all of which were labs, at the same time. I had one other course to add, for a total of 16 credits. It depends on your own academic ability. No one can really tell you whether or not that is "too much" for you. Some people would die trying. Others are okay with it. That said, I wouldn't suggest taking 18 credits unless you have to.

I'm not quite sure exactly what you're asking though, so please clarify. Hopefully what I've said has helped.

Yes, and that also depends whether or not you would need to work part time to support yourself too.

If you go to a legit school that's going to be extremely tough to handle. I understand that dental school will be even harder, but this is undergrad. Don't sell your soul yet. And how did you even manage to get into all those classes? They are in extremely high demand where I went and you were lucky to take two of them at a time.

Yeah, that is def. doable. But the question is "can you maintain your GPA?"
I am doing 18 units this semester. (3 upper bio with 2 labs and 2 GE classes) Oh and did I tell you I have 8 interviews? It was ludicrous but hey it looks like I will make it.
