What exactly does it mean? Do you still have to pay room and board? What about books? Are those expenses a part of the full-ride too? That is really fantastic. I heard that Duke gives a lot of scholarship money. This is a good example. I only hesitate to apply there because I don't have any research experience. It's an unofficial prereq, right?

How common is it for a medical school to give out scholarships? I don't hear of it very often.
