Hi there,

This semester is a weird semester for me and I would really appreciate some feedback or suggestions, thanks!

I'm a junior and I just became a part time student this semester (8 hours) after being full time for the last 2.5 years. I did this to save money on tuition and to take an EMT course. At the same time, this semester I'm taking a general biology class that I never took freshman year. The biggest thing I'm worried about is that even though my courseload is lighter and with the general biology class, my GPA dropped this semester. The last 3 semester I've been getting around 3.9, but I'm getting ~3.7 this semester. How significant is this drop because of my general bio course and my lighter semester? Is there any way to recover from this? Thanks!

One small dip like that is unlikely to raise any eyebrows. Just step it back up going forward.

Take some of these and chill. You're fine.

I took a lighter load for a semester a year ago. I was surprised to see how many schools asked me about why during interviews. You just need a good answer, but the question will likely come up.
