I'm thinking of including SIU-Edwardsville on my list of schools to apply to, but I know they are not yet fully-accredited. Fall 2006 is only their 2nd entering class. They were granted candidate status in June of this year and according to the website it means that graduates have all the same "rights"
as graduates from a fully-accredited program. They aren't eligible for full-accreditation until their first class graduates in 2009. Any thoughts or suggestions?

This is the standard process for all new pharmacy schools. I don't know anything about that school specifically, but if they are Candidate status, that means AACP thinks the program is good enough to gain full status. Once its at that point, I don't think you have anything worry about. Especially since by the time you graduate, they will have graduate a class, and it will be fully accredited.
